CNC ID Grinder

General Purpose of Job

Set-up and Operate CNC Cylindrical (I.D.) grinders. Perform all basic grinding required within the shop conforming to all specifications. Math and shop related knowledge a must.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Set-up and run any parts on CNC cylindrical grinders.

  • Inspect 1st pc and own work to meet standards.

  • Operate precision gauging.

  • Follow safety standards and procedures.

  • Can operate with little or no supervision.

  • Follow proper work instructions.


    • Education and/or Experience

    High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of four years CNC I.D. grinding experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


    Mathematical Skills

    Ability to work with mathematical concepts and fundamentals of geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.


    Reasoning Ability

    Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written and oral forms.
